It's About Time

Lornich Kennels in Sterling Heights Michigan was raided yesterday, April 23,2008. Over 60 breeding dogs were removed from the property and like the puppy mill that it is, the poor animals were living in horrid conditions. We'll keep on this to make certain that Lornich is shut down for good. Here's the Detroit Free Press article about Lornich.

Steve Neavling from the Detroit Free Press also is exposing St. Clair County Animal Control. It seems that in addition to illegal and inhumane "euthanasa" technique known as the heartstick, St. Clair County is one of the highest kill counties in Southeastern Michigan. There is no excuse for what is going on at that shelter. Heads should roll, people should be fired. Torturing animals and doing nothing but killing them is inexcusable. If you are appalled by St. Clair County Animal Control, contact the county commissioners and let them know that Lyle Herman needs to go now. The next St. Clair County Board of Commissioners meeting is May 7 at 6 pm.
